Highlights from Our Asia Practice

In 2024, Asia’s economic and market landscape was defined by resilience, varied growth trajectories and rapid technological advancements, as shifting global trade dynamics and evolving regulations shaped investment and innovation across the region. The widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) drove efficiencies in manufacturing, finance and health care, while government-led digital initiatives and regulatory developments influenced data governance, cross-border collaborations and sector growth.

Amid these shifting dynamics, Loeb & Loeb’s Asia practice remained a trusted adviser to clients navigating complex market conditions. The firm’s Hong Kong and Beijing lawyers provided essential counsel across key areas, including capital markets, corporate, commercial finance, intellectual property (IP), litigation and dispute resolution, and regulatory and compliance, helping clients navigate evolving market and regulatory landscapes.

In February 2025, the firm celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Beijing office, which has grown substantially in both size and breadth of practice, now handling significant IP, corporate and regulatory matters alongside its established capital markets practice. The Beijing office also welcomed new partners James Zimmerman and Scott Palmer in November 2024, together with their team of 15 lawyers, paralegals and IP specialists, expanding the office’s capabilities across IP, corporate, transactional, regulatory, litigation and white collar criminal defense. Additionally, in May 2024, the firm enhanced its capital markets and corporate offerings in Hong Kong with the arrival of new partners Shirley Lau and Polly Liu, along with one of counsel and two associates.
