Loeb & Loeb is proud to announce that Debbie White, partner and vice chair of the firm's Music Industry practice, has been selected for inclusion in Billboard's 2022 Women In Music Top Executives. The list comprises the music industry's female leaders, veterans and next-gen talents.
In an accompanying profile, Debbie is recognized for her jam-packed year of music deals in 2021, including representing music publishing company Primary Wave in catalog acquisitions for Jamaican-American musician Stephen Marley; cutting recording deals for songwriter Diane Warren with BMG, singer-songwriter Nessa Barrett with Warner Records and band Duran Duran with S-Curve Records; and representing Singaporean artist JJ Shin in his soundtrack album deal for Marvel’s “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” film. She is also noted for representing South Korean boy band BTS in a deal that put a “BTS Meal” on the menu of McDonald’s locations in 86 countries.
“Seeing BTS and Korean lettering on the meal packaging, and people around the world so excited and accepting of it, felt like a cultural movement,” Debbie told Billboard. “It was a truly rewarding project.”
