概述
Ana Maganto Ramirez supports clients across the full life cycle of a tax-exempt organization from an entity’s formation and tax-exemption application, to grant-making and corporate governance all the way through dissolution. Ana works closely with a variety of tax-exempt organizations including public charities, private foundations, social welfare organizations, and foreign charities and their U.S. affiliates to improve their governance and enhance their tax compliance. This includes advising nonprofit boards on best practices and fiduciary obligations, assisting in the navigation of the Chapter 42 excise tax regime including rules on self-dealing, unrelated business income tax and excess business holdings. In addition, Ana works with high net worth individuals and families to establish family foundations and donor-advised funds.
Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Ana served as an associate in the tax group of a large international firm.
Ana is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey. She received her J.D., L.L.M. in International and Comparative Law and B.A. from Duke University.
