Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce that Rachel Harris, chair of the firm's International Trusts & Estates practice, and Trusts & Estates partner Michelle Albrecht were honored during the 2024 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards USA in New York City on March 14, 2024.
In conjunction with Women's History Month, the annual awards recognize current and future female leaders working in the wealth management industry, spotlighting "individuals and companies who support caregiving responsibilities, female leadership and celebrate diversity." Winners were chosen through a dual process involving online voting from clients and peers, as well as votes from a panel of judges, all prominent figures within the wealth industry.
Rachel won Silver place in the "Woman of the Year – Leadership" category, while Michelle received Bronze place in the "Women of the Year – Rising Star" category.
Rachel counsels clients in connection with all aspects of domestic and international estate planning for individuals and families, pre-immigration planning prior to arrival in the U.S., planning for U.S. citizens residing outside of the U.S., trust and estate taxation and administration, charitable giving, and operation of tax-exempt organizations. Her practice extends to all facets of estate and gift tax planning and encompasses multijurisdictional and international matters.
Michelle focuses her practice on estate tax and gift tax planning for high net worth individuals and families. Her practice includes estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, as well as estate and trust administration. She works with clients to develop and implement sophisticated estate plans to maximize the transfer of wealth to future generations in a tax-efficient way. Michelle has extensive experience drafting traditional wills and revocable trusts, as well as lifetime gifting techniques such as dynasty trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts and limited liability companies.
