Loeb & Loeb LLP represented Vivint, a leading smart home technology provider, in a multifaceted strategic marketing partnership with Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment, which includes naming rights for the downtown Salt Lake City arena that is home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz. The region’s premier sports, concert and entertainment venue, formerly known as Energy Solutions Arena, is now named the Vivint Smart Home Arena.
In addition to naming rights for the arena, the 10-year partnership agreement between Vivint and LMSE will also include an interactive “Vivint Smart Home Experience” on the arena concourse, products and services to improve the game night fan experience, and upgraded security and automation technology at the basketball facilities. The two Utah-based companies will also be collaborating on an autism awareness campaign as part of their joint community outreach.
Loeb & Loeb partner Brian R. Socolow represented Vivint in the transaction. Mr. Socolow focuses his practice on the representation of event owners, media companies, equipment manufacturers, athletes and others in the sports industry in both transactional and litigation matters.
