Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce that, for the second consecutive year, Brian Socolow, co-chair of the firm's Sports industry practice, has been selected by Lexology Index for inclusion in its 2025 Client Choice Awards. Brian is recognized in the U.S. Sports & Entertainment section and is the only U.S. lawyer to receive a Client Choice Award in this category.
Established in 2005, the Client Choice Awards recognize law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. The criteria for this recognition focus on an ability to add real value to clients' business above and beyond the other players in the market. Uniquely, law firms and partners can only be nominated by in-house counsel.
Brian represents professional and college athletes, teams, event owners, media companies, equipment manufacturers and others in the sports industry in complex commercial transactions and business disputes. He has handled many sports transactions, including media broadcast and distribution agreements, sponsorship and naming rights agreements, trademark licenses, venue agreements and the purchase and sale of sports properties. Most recently, Brian represented Simmons Bank in connection with the naming rights of Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, now known as Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, in Memphis, Tennessee, and represented Frost Bank in connection with an agreement with the NBA basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs, for a naming rights partnership for the Spurs’ home arena, now officially known as the “Frost Bank Center.”
