Loeb & Loeb represented Big O Holdings LLC and the heirs to the estate of singer Otis Redding Jr., in a music catalog administrative agreement with Sony Music Publishing, the largest music publisher in the world.
Sony will now administer and collect royalties on the U.S. copyrights to Otis Redding Jr.'s songs, such as "Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay," "Respect" by Aretha Franklin, and "Hard to Handle," made even more popular by the Black Crowes.
The Loeb team included Derek Crownover, vice chair of the firm's Music Industry practice, senior counsel Rob Kouchoukos, of counsel John Rolfe, and associate Colleen Kelley.
