Loeb is pleased to aid its pro bono partner Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL), the nation’s largest legal and civil rights organization for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, in monitoring in-person polls during the November 2022 midterm election.
The nonpartisan effort serves as the primary tool for identifying obstacles individuals face while voting in-person, including but not limited to issues related to language and disability access. Loeb volunteers had the opportunity to visit several voting centers and complete a brief questionnaire detailing their observations and recommendations, which help to ensure that poll sites and poll workers are in compliance with federal and state laws.
