Loeb & Loeb announced today that Gian Pastore joined the firm as its first Web3 Manager, a newly created position to address the growing need to support clients on Web3 projects and other cutting-edge initiatives. He is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Pastore brings extensive technical background in cryptocurrency, NFTs, blockchain domains and the metaverse, having held a variety of non-legal roles within the blockchain space. Pastore will work directly with firm clients on a variety of Web3 issues, and internally, will support the firm’s own Web3 initiatives.
“We are thrilled to welcome Gian to our team,” said Melanie Howard, chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Intellectual Property and Luxury Brands practices and Deputy Chair of its Advanced Media and Technology department. “Given Loeb’s practice platform, we are uniquely suited to advise clients on all manner of Web3 issues, and are already actively supporting clients across numerous industries on this topic. The addition of Gian amplifies the services we are able to offer our clients and, evidences our commitment to continue to be a leader in this space.”
At Loeb & Loeb, Pastore will be able to, among other things, help clients set up and maintain digital wallets, acquire and manage blockchain domains, advise on technological aspects of NFT drops, launch cryptocurrencies, provide guidance on how to purchase land in the metaverse, advise on launching events in the metaverse, and provide insight on smart contracts.
“While this is a budding industry, Loeb & Loeb is a cutting edge firm with the foundation in place to lead the field,” said Pastore. “This is a first of its kind position for the firm and I am honored to take on this role, especially with the incredible opportunities that lie ahead as these innovations develop.”
Pastore’s most recent role was at MarkMonitor, where he developed and launched a successful NFT domain product. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University and studied Computer Software Engineering at Arizona State University.
