Loeb Partner Melanie Howard Named Among Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 Top 100 Lawyers

Loeb & Loeb is proud to announce that Melanie Howardchair of the Intellectual Property Protection and Luxury Brands practices and deputy chair of the Advanced Media and Technology department, has been selected for inclusion in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 Top 100 Lawyers list. The publication hosted the inaugural Top 100 Lawyers Awards event on May 12 at the ASU California Center.

This year, the publication restructured the Leaders in Law awards to honor legal professionals through two new, separate recognitions: the Top 100 Lawyers list and the Corporate Counsel Awards. Honorees in the Top 100 Lawyers list were selected for demonstrating “exceptional legal skill and achievements across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership and contributions to the Los Angeles community at large.”

In the accompanying profile, Melanie is recognized for providing “business-savvy guidance” to clients in connection with complex intellectual property transactions, advertising and marketing matters, and privacy and data security issues. She is noted for advising companies across a wide range of industries, including luxury fashion, beauty and wellness, entertainment and media, and Web3. In addition, Melanie is highlighted for serving as lead counsel on numerous high-profile matters, including representing Kobe Bryant’s estate in the filing of federal trademark applications, and for regularly counseling Saks Fifth Avenue, Canada Goose, The Gap and celebrity personalities like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Belvins.
