Loeb & Loeb represented Lemonada Media, a podcast network that shares an unfiltered version of the human experience in a time of increasing polarization, in its $8 million Series A (second-round) funding led by BDMI, an affiliate of Bertelsmann, a global media, education and services company.
Other participants in this round included Madison Wells, Greycroft, Spring Point Partners, Intuition Capital and Own Capital Group. In addition, there were several new and existing investors, including Blue Collective, which is Lemonada’s lead series seed investor and largest external investor to date.
Founded in 2019 by Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wachs, Lemonada’s mission is to present authentic first-person narratives that highlight the diverse human experience and make us all feel less alone. Since its inception, Lemonada has gained millions of listeners, 20 original podcasts and more than tripled its annual revenue.
The Loeb deal team that advised Lemonada in its Series A funding round was led by Capital Markets and Corporate Deputy Chair Lloyd Rothenberg and included associates Janet Tasigianis and Simona Papazian and paralegal Hope Wankel.
