Loeb Corporate associate Nick Warshaw is quoted in an article published by The San Francisco Standard discussing the Sue San Francisco Fund, a fund set up by ‘Yes In My Backyard’ (YIMBY) Law executive director Sonja Trauss, to intimidate the city of San Francisco in complying with the state’s housing laws.
According to the article, the Sue San Francisco Fund acts to compliment the state enforcement agency by holding the city accountable to providing more housing. “This is an incredibly novel concept,” Nick said. “Normally people and interest groups try to influence elected officials through the ballot box or through lobbying elected officials. This model proposes a unique mechanism to influence government policy.”
