Overview
Avi Gholian maintains a broad litigation and transactional practice focusing on labor and employment matters. Avi’s experience includes defending employers against claims of wrongful termination and retaliation, as well as drafting a Ninth Circuit brief on behalf of a large music publisher on the issue of whether equity compensation may constitute as wages.
Avi has experience regularly advising clients on litigation prevention, and obtaining successful results for clients with dispositive motions, in numerous settlement negotiations as well as in mediation.
In addition to his litigation practice, Avi also has experience advising clients with guild compliance (SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA) and drafting talent agreements. During law school Avi interned with Paramount Pictures, SAG-AFTRA, CMG and the entertainment departments of both boutique and international law firms.
