Overview
Steve Byrd’s practice focuses on all phases of television, motion picture and digital content development, production and distribution, with a growing emphasis on all forms of animated content. He advises clients on the optioning and acquisition of rights, original screenplays and literary works; the engagement of writing, directing, acting and producing services; television development, option and series deals; day-to-day production legal; and all forms of distribution agreements. Steve negotiates agreements for all forms of animation and other production services, licensing, consumer products, book publishing and music for a diverse range of productions.
Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Steve managed the business and legal affairs of Big Idea, a leading producer of faith-based children’s and family programming. Steve is an antique camera collector and photographer, a former collegiate athlete and a father of children with special needs. He enjoys the cinema, collegiate sports and hiking with his family.
