Loeb & Loeb represented Warner Music Group in partnership with production company Seriously Happy and the estate of legendary artist Edith Piaf, for what will be the first animated biopic created using AI technology to recreate Edith’s voice and image.
The biopic is set to be 90 minutes and will follow Piaf’s life story of how she became a symbol of female empowerment and one of France’s most iconic artists of all time.
Loeb negotiated the agreement for the development and production of the project. In addition, Loeb oversaw the negotiation of key agreements with the estate, the writer and director, Mac Guff - a leading VFX and Animation studio, and Respeecher - an innovative tool that produces high-quality synthetic speech using AI and machine learning.
The Loeb deal team included Entertainment associate Daryl Steiger, Entertainment deputy chair Roger Arar, and Entertainment associate Brandon Zamudio.
