Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce the arrival of Michael Donner to the firm’s Litigation department in San Francisco. Michael is a business litigation and trial lawyer focusing on complex commercial disputes in a broad range of industries, including real estate, technology, financial services, food and beverage, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and life sciences.
“Michael has a solid reputation in the San Francisco market for his ability to solve the most complex problems for clients, both inside and outside the courtroom,” said Daniel Murphy, co-chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Litigation department. “His range of experience, spanning everything from resolving real estate disputes to protecting the business interests of wealthy individuals and companies, will be a valuable asset to us and our clients.”
Donner is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who has represented a diverse array of clients, ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to mid-cap companies, partnerships, entrepreneurs and high net worth families. His practice encompasses numerous subject matter areas, including antitrust and trade practices, business torts, class actions, contract enforcement, defamation, employment, false advertising, fiduciary duty, financial fraud, lender liability, officer/director liability, professional liability, real estate and land use, securities, shareholder/partner/member rights, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, and trusts and estates. In addition to his active practice, he has served three consecutive California governors in their selection and appointment of state court judges.
Donner is the fifth litigation partner to join Loeb & Loeb’s West Coast offices this year, following Lauren Fried, John Gatti, Devin Donohue and Thomas Lombardi.

This expansion has included the relocation of real estate partner Allan Abshez from our Los Angeles office to San Francisco, the addition of Jessica Isokawa in the Capital Markets & Corporate department, and now the addition of Michael,” said Nicole Webb, a partner in the firm’s San Francisco office. “Michael’s experience expands our litigation capabilities in this important market. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

Donner previously served as the chair of the Business Litigation Practice Group of Hanson Bridgett LLP. He is a frequent speaker and author on topics relating to litigation and alternative dispute resolution and has served on the boards of several Bay Area nonprofit and civic organizations. Donner earned his M.S. from Columbia University and his J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
