Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce the arrival of Devin Donohue and Thomas Lombardi as partners in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Donohue is a commercial litigator with an emphasis on trade secret, securities litigation and SEC enforcement, while Lombardi focuses his practice on real estate litigation. Both Lombardi and Donohue join Loeb & Loeb from Cozen O’Connor and come directly on the heels of the addition of litigation partners John Gatti and Lauren Fried to the Los Angeles office in the past month.
“As we continue to focus on growth in Los Angeles, Devin and Thomas are a valuable addition to our litigation department,” said Alyse Pelavin, managing partner of Loeb & Loeb’s LA office. “They are top-notch litigators with a strong track record of success and deep ties to this market. We are pleased to welcome them to our partnership.”
Donohue focuses his practice on litigating commercial, trade secret and securities cases in federal and state court and before various arbitration tribunals. He has served as lead trial counsel in over 100 matters in which he has defended several financial institutions, brokerage firms and financial advisers, resulting in favorable dispositions including several defense awards and rulings against multimillion-dollar claims. He has successfully litigated high-profile trade secret matters in California and other jurisdictions in various industries, including financial services, retail, entertainment/sports, insurance brokerage and many others.
“Devin is an industry veteran and adds substantial depth to our financial services, business and commercial litigation capabilities,” said Daniel Murphy, co-chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Litigation department. “There is overlap between Devin’s clients and existing firm clients, which will allow the firm to strengthen its connections and provide deeper, more holistic support.”
Representing real estate developers, investors, owners and operators in all asset classes, Lombardi has more than 25 years of experience involving real estate and commercial matters. He has litigated the full range of real estate business disputes, including matters involving purchase and sale agreements, leases, loans, options, first rights of refusal, commissions, partnerships, failure to disclose, construction, ADA, nuisance, quiet title, easements and boundary disagreements.
“Thomas is a skilled real estate litigator who operates at a very high level. His addition furthers the depth and breadth of our West Coast real estate services,” said Raymond A. Sanseverino, chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Real Estate department.
“I have known and admired the Loeb & Loeb team for many years, and I am thrilled to join such a well-respected and talented group,” said Donohue. “Our combined resources will add great value to my clients.”
“Loeb’s robust platform and deep experience in real estate will help me address virtually every type of real estate-related issue our clients face,” said Lombardi. “I look forward to joining the team.”
Lombardi earned his J.D. from Whittier College School of Law in 1994. Donohue earned his J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1997.
