Loeb & Loeb represented mystery author G. T. Karber in the sale of television adaptation rights of his bestselling book “Murdle,” a collection of murder mystery puzzles. The rights were acquired by Legendary Television, a global entertainment company that works across film, television, digital media, virtual reality and comic books, which plans to develop a scripted series based on the book.
Pacesetter Productions presented the pitch to Legendary, aiming to create a “Murdle” universe that will also encompass films and an unscripted series.
Loeb negotiated on behalf of G. T. Karber and his managers during a competitive bidding process with six studios, ultimately securing a deal with Legendary Television. The television series will be written by Jon Croker, the screenwriter of “Paddington.”
The “Murdle” book has been translated into over 30 languages and sold more than a million English-language copies within its first year.
G. T. Karber is represented by Loeb Entertainment associate Daniel Donohue.
