Loeb & Loeb mourns the passing of our close friend and partner, Rebel Roy Steiner Jr.
Rebel spent his entire 39-year career as an entertainment lawyer at Loeb & Loeb. He represented a wide variety of major television networks, motion picture studios, independent production companies, and individual musicians, music supervisors, composers, directors and literary authors on a full spectrum of talent and music matters. A longtime co-chair of Loeb Pride, the Loeb affinity group providing fellowship and community to LGBTQ+ lawyers and their allies, Rebel was deeply committed to advancing inclusivity and diversity within the firm and the broader legal community.
In addition to his extraordinary legal talents, Rebel is remembered for his vibrant personality and ever-present sense of humor. He was full of enthusiasm, unfailingly polite and fully present when you were with him.
Rebel was passionate about music, traveling, literature, tennis, poker and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide college football team. Alongside his husband Jake, he had a deep appreciation for food, and together they enjoyed memorable dining experiences across the world.
Rebel left us far too soon on August 28, 2024. A beloved part of the Loeb family, loved and admired throughout his profession and the entertainment industry, he will be sorely missed, but his presence was a gift that will not be forgotten.
