Fighting Hate

With the tragic events in the Middle East, we are saddened to see an alarming rise in anti-Semitic behavior across the world as well as in our own communities, and to know our Muslim colleagues are experiencing bigotry and fear on a level not seen since the post-9/11 era.

Loeb & Loeb condemns antisemitism, Islamophobia, discrimination and hate of any sort, and we tolerate no form of hateful speech or discriminatory language or behavior.

Loeb & Loeb is a proud signatory of the Anti-Defamation League’s call to fight antisemitism. As one of the first firms to sign on in early 2023, we knew its mission was important then, and know it’s even more important now. We continue to serve the ADL because the organization’s charge is the same as ours: to eradicate hate towards any group of all kinds and on all levels. We signed on to combat antisemitism, but the same intolerance goes for acts against any group of humans being targeted. We are now actively engaged with the ADL, assisting in research related to combatting hate speech on college campuses.

We are also signatories to a joint letter drafted by several large law firms to some of the most prestigious law schools at which they recruit, making it clear to these schools that they will not hire graduates who engage in discrimination or harassment against Jewish students. While Loeb & Loeb rarely recruits directly from law schools, we wholeheartedly agree with the contents of the letter, and were proud to sign on in solidarity with those firms.

We will continue to take any and every opportunity we can, not just to express our stance, but to take action against hate. Loeb & Loeb remains and will always be committed to ensuring a tolerant and inclusive workplace, and to pursuing a more just and peaceful society.
