Loeb & Loeb announced today the arrival of Michael Rosen-Prinz to the firm’s Los Angeles office where he will be a partner in the Trusts & Estates department. Rosen-Prinz works with individuals and family offices in the U.S. and abroad on strategies for wealth transfer, family governance, business succession planning, and estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax matters.
“Loeb is focused on continuing to build its premier estate planning practice nationally. Michael understands and appreciates the practical and legal issues involved in the acquisition, preservation and transfer of wealth,” said Alyse Pelavin, Los Angeles office managing partner and co-chair of Loeb & Loeb’s Trusts & Estates department. “His deep and varied experience, as well as his knowledge of evolving federal and state tax and trust and estate laws, will be an invaluable asset to our clients.”
In addition to advising individuals and families on estate planning matters, Rosen-Prinz forms and administers family offices and private trust companies, and advises on related tax and regulatory compliance issues. His practice includes cross-border planning for international families, advising on issues related to foreign trusts, expatriation and pre-immigration planning, as well as inbound and outbound investments.
“Loeb & Loeb has one of the largest private client practices in the country,” said Rosen-Prinz. “The team is widely recognized in the industry for excellence in protecting individual and family legacies, and I am honored to join this distinguished group.”
Rosen-Prinz is an ACTEC fellow, a member of TEXCOM, the executive committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the California Lawyers Association, and is the past chair of the Trust and Estates Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He earned his B.A. from the University of California - Santa Barbara where he graduated with High Honors and his J.D. from the University of California - Berkley School of Law. He joins Loeb & Loeb from McDermott Will & Emery where he was a partner.
