Los Angeles, CA (March 1, 2021) — Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce the arrival of Sarina Saluja as a partner in the Employment & Labor department in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Saluja brings more than a decade of experience representing employers of all sizes in a wide range of employment- and labor-related litigation, including matters involving discrimination claims, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, workplace privacy, data security, unfair competition, trade secret theft, and corporate espionage. Saluja also counsels clients on employment matters.
“The department has enjoyed significant success in defending international and domestic clients in high-profile, complex employment litigations over the past few years. The addition of Sarina to our team will only serve to expand those successes,” said Michelle La Mar, chair of the firm’s Employment & Labor department. “Sarina is a seasoned employment lawyer whose broad skill set and wealth of knowledge on a wide variety of labor and employment issues will be a tremendous asset to our clients.”
Recently named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Top Women Attorneys” list, Saluja has represented clients throughout California, in both superior courts and U.S. District Court, and before the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the U.S. Department of Labor and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also successfully argued appeals before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to her litigation work, Saluja advises clients on policy and procedure manuals, employment contracts and other agreements, including harassment and discrimination prevention and drug testing policies. Her clients include startups, national companies and public entities in an array of industries, including health care, retail, manufacturing, advertising, hospitality, technology and transportation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sarina to Loeb,” said Alyse Pelavin, managing partner of Loeb’s LA office. “She is widely recognized as a leader in the labor and employment area, and her joining further expands the depth of Loeb’s employment and labor capabilities and the breadth of services we can offer our clients.”
“Loeb & Loeb is well known for its focused, proactive counsel and the ability to interpret and respond effectively to today’s rapidly changing employment laws,” said Saluja. “The team has advised clients on some of the most cutting-edge employment issues, and I am excited to collaborate with such an impressive group.”
Saluja is the fifth partner to join Loeb in the first quarter of 2021 and her arrival continues the expansion of Loeb’s Employment & Labor department. In January, the firm’s New York office welcomed Ian Carleton Schaefer, a seasoned employment and labor attorney, who will serve as chair of the New York Employment & Labor group.
Saluja joins Loeb & Loeb from Fisher Phillips. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
