Loeb & Loeb Promotes Six Attorneys to Partnership

Los Angeles, New York and Hong Kong (September 5, 2018) – Loeb & Loeb LLP is pleased to announce the election of six attorneys to the firm’s partnership. The new partners are: Elizabeth Camacho and Don Miller in Los Angeles; Jon Hollis, Elizabeth H. Kim and John J. Oberdorf III in New York; and Jeffrey Kung in Hong Kong.

Elizabeth Camacho – Real Estate, Los Angeles 
Camacho focuses her practice on land use and development law, including permitting, associated environmental review and related litigation. She represents clients in connection with development projects of all sizes across a broad range of use sectors, providing comprehensive land use counsel from the earliest stages of strategic project planning through the entitlement process and, if necessary, defense of any legal challenge. She holds a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College.

Jon Hollis – Litigation, New York
Hollis litigates complex commercial disputes for clients in a broad range of industries, with particular emphasis on banking, real estate, and government contracts in the defense industry.  He also handles intellectual property licensing issues and cases involving copyright infringement, Lanham Act violations, and other IP-related claims. Hollis is the founder of the firm’s pro bono Veterans Assistance Project. He has successfully represented numerous disabled veterans in claims before the VA and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Prior to attending law school, he served with the Army’s elite 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, including four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Elizabeth H. Kim – Life Sciences, New York
Kim counsels life sciences companies on a broad spectrum of matters related to the approval and commercialization of FDA-regulated products, including drugs, biologics and medical devices. She has in-depth industry experience from long-term secondments and extended service as acting in-house counsel, general counsel and/or compliance officer for small and midsize manufacturers. Her practice includes counseling on promotional and marketing activities; fraud and abuse issues; managed markets issues; regulatory, compliance and privacy matters; and implementation of Corporate Integrity Agreements. She holds a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College.

Jeffrey Kung – Capital Markets and Corporate, Hong Kong
Kung focuses his practice on equity capital markets transactions, with a special emphasis on initial public offerings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, as well as takeovers of Hong Kong-listed companies. He also advises clients on mergers and acquisitions and compliance with the security laws and listing rules in Hong Kong. Kung holds both a bachelor degree and a postgraduate certificate in law from the University of Hong Kong.

Don Miller – Litigation, Los Angeles 
Miller's practice focuses on litigation, with particular emphasis on matters involving entertainment issues. He has successfully litigated a wide range of intellectual property and entertainment issues on behalf of prominent clients in the motion picture, television, music, and book publishing industries, including accounting, distribution and contract disputes; copyright and credit disputes; anti-piracy issues; and trademark, false advertising, and unfair competition claims. Miller obtained his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and earned his bachelor’s degree (majoring in accounting and finance) from Miami University.

John J. Oberdorf III – Finance, New York 
Oberdorf focuses his practice in the areas of commercial finance, corporate law and intellectual property matters and transactions. He represents banks and other financial institutions in private banking and commercial lending transactions, including secured and unsecured lending, private equity and subscription line financing, lending to hedge funds and fund of funds, art loans, aircraft financing, commercial real estate financing, securities lending, and various other credit arrangements. He holds both a M.B.A. and J.D. from Seton Hall University and earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
