Battle Brews Atop Media Giant Viacom

Concerns about the health of Sumner Redstone, Viacom’s executive chairman, have sparked questions on Wall Street about the future of the media giant and business succession. Loeb & Loeb partner Leah Bishop, Mr. Redstone’s estate planning attorney, is quoted on the health of her client. She states, “In September, Sumner was examined by an independent physician, who confirmed that he has the capacity to execute estate-planning documents. The examination was conducted to safeguard against meritless challenges.”
