The Association of Media & Entertainment Counsel (AMEC), a trade association serving general counsel and business affairs attorneys at media and entertainment companies, has named Loeb & Loeb LLP the “Outstanding Law Firm” for 2008.
Loeb & Loeb’s Co-Chair John Frankenheimer accepted the honor at AMEC’s fourth annual Media and Entertainment Counsel of the Year Awards dinner and gala last Friday, January 9, at the House of Blues in Hollywood. Motion Picture Association of America president and COO Bob Pisano delivered the key note address. Loeb & Loeb was recognized for its outstanding legal work in the areas of intellectual property and licensing, motion picture and television production and distribution financing, and critical business transactions.
The Chair of the firm’s Los Angeles Entertainment Department, Craig Emanuel, said: “We are privileged to receive this recognition from AMEC which I believe reflects our consistent and long-standing commitment to our clients in the entertainment industry.”
Frankenheimer added: “We approach the needs of our clients for legal services as a team, drawing from many areas of expertise within our firm to best serve our clients, so this award salutes the hard work of many talented lawyers at Loeb & Loeb. We feel fortunate to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry both in and outside of the firm.”
AMEC provides programs designed to equip in-house legal counsel with the skills necessary to excel within their respective organizations. The Media and Entertainment Counsel Award Series was created by AMEC to recognize those members who have achieved the highest levels of successes in their areas of expertise and to honor the top media and entertainment counsel as selected by their peers.
