Vadim Rubinstein leads a bankruptcy practice with a broad range of experience in both the transactional and litigation aspects of bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts. He has advised clients in the insolvency and bankruptcy context across a wide range of industries, including real estate, entertainment, energy, aviation, manufacturing, technology, retail, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals and trucking.

Vadim has represented debtors, official unsecured creditors’ committees, creditor committee members, secured lenders, public bondholders, investors, strategic purchasers, trade creditors, landlords, title companies and trustees in complex business reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, financial transactions and litigation.

Finding a creative solution requires an ability to dismantle the data and perform an in-depth analysis. You can’t solve a problem without turning over every stone and reviewing every page.

Vadim regularly represents indenture trustees and administrative agents in numerous significant bankruptcy cases throughout the country, including the bankruptcy cases of GT Advanced Technologies, Armstrong Energy, Ion Media, Residential Capital, Washington Mutual and Forbes Energy, among others. 

He frequently counsels clients in the areas of corporate reorganization and restructuring, creditors’ rights, distressed acquisitions, debtor-in-possession financing and pre-bankruptcy planning. He possesses substantial experience in the areas of Chapter 11 plan negotiation and confirmation, as well as all aspects of litigation in Chapter 11 cases.

As a member of the firm’s Real Estate Finance Group, Vadim regularly issues legal opinions related to commercial lending transactions, including non-consolidation, true sale, safe harbors and authority to file opinions.
