Scott Palmer has more than two decades of experience advising clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, with a deep understanding of the legal system in China. Scott has extensive experience advising on intellectual property registration, maintenance, licensing, enforcement and litigation for foreign companies operating in China and Chinese companies operating in the U.S.
Clients consistently turn to Scott to develop, expand and strategically manage their IP portfolios, from IP registration to administrative and criminal enforcement. He regularly assists companies with maintaining and acquiring IP rights, as well as licensing and transferring IP. On the litigation front, Scott handles trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition and patent disputes.
Scott often assists with the creation and management of anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy programs for both large and small companies. He also supports clients with brand development, advertising, product quality, license approvals, and regulatory compliance in highly regulated industries, including before China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Scott’s clients include companies across a diverse range of industries, including apparel, retail, hospitality, automotive, technology, software, musical instruments, entertainment, life sciences, cosmetics, transportation and clean energy.
