Frank D’Angelo maintains a broad complex commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on contract, intellectual property and defamation matters within the film, television, music and podcast industries.
Frank advises clients on disputes involving claims under the Copyright and Lanham acts, as well as consumer class actions and shareholder derivative suits. He has also represented clients in cases involving a variety of business torts and contract disputes, including cases arising from stock transactions, business acquisitions, joint ventures and employment contracts. In addition to his litigation practice, Frank advises clients with respect to potential business disputes, contract drafting, rights clearance issues, fair use and regulatory investigations. He has handled all phases of litigation and has represented clients in both AAA and JAMS arbitrations.

Frank’s clients include major motion picture studios, television networks, production companies, music publishers, record companies, podcast producers, newspaper publishers, media personalities, fashion and apparel companies, and high net worth estates. Frank also has substantial experience representing financial institutions, having litigated disputes on behalf of credit rating agencies, investment advisers and private equity firms, and has advised religious institutions and other non-profit organizations on regulatory and governance issues.
Frank regularly publishes to Loeb & Loeb’s IP/Entertainment Case Law Weekly Update for Content Creators, Owners and Distributors. He maintains an active pro bono practice in which he represents a death row inmate in Alabama seeking post-conviction relief, and he has assisted survivors of domestic violence with asylum proceedings and U visa applications.
