Loeb & Loeb is proud to announce that the firm has partnered with Diversity Lab to continue building a culture of inclusion for people with disabilities by implementing one or more of the actions listed on the recently launched Disability Inclusion Commitments. Loeb is among the 90-plus law firms that have committed to fulfilling the Disability Inclusion Commitments.
Recognizing that disability inclusion is sometimes overshadowed in diversity efforts, Diversity Lab collaborated with its Disability Inclusion Advisory Group to create the Disability Inclusion Commitments, or a list of 10 actions that law firms, legal departments and other organizations can undertake to enhance inclusion and provide equitable access to opportunities for disabled individuals in the legal profession.
Loeb is in the process of completing the recommended actions and educational components outlined in the Commitments. The following Commitments are slated for implementation in 2024, all aimed at fostering a culture of inclusion for individuals with disabilities:
- Create opportunities for everyone in the firm to discuss their ideas and perspectives on inclusive actions and language related to disabilities
- Ensure firm and client in-person and online events are inclusive and accessible for colleagues with disabilities
- Work with experts to enhance the digital accessibility of websites, client portals, and more
- Establish a disability employee resource group
