Three Loeb Partners Honored as 2023 Power Lawyers by The Hollywood Reporter

Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce that three partners have been recognized by The Hollywood Reporter (THR): Ivy Kagan Bierman, chair of the firm’s Entertainment Labor practice, is named to the Power Lawyers 2023: Legal Legends list; Debbie White, vice chair of Music Industry group, is named to the Power Lawyers 2023: Top Music Attorneys list; and David Grossman, co-chair of the Litigation department, is featured in the Power Lawyers 2023 list.

Ivy is one of five lawyers selected to this year’s Legal Legends list, a feature honoring entertainment lawyers whose career accomplishments are extraordinary. Those who are selected retain the title for life. In an accompanying profile, Ivy is highlighted for being “one of the industry’s few legal experts representing major entertainment companies in dealings with guilds and unions.” She is noted for representing some of the most well-known organizations in Hollywood, including the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Discovery, Lionsgate, Starz, Skydance and AMC Networks.

In addition, Debbie is one of 15 lawyers selected to the Top Music Attorneys list, which recognizes the lawyers handling the most high-profile and hottest deals within the music industry. Debbie is lauded by THR for recently handling lucrative deals for popular music artists, such as representing Regina Spektor and Nessa Barrett in recent publishing deals with Sony Music; Young the Giant in a distribution pact with AWAL; and K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together in a deal with Republic Records. She also noted for setting up a TV spot for Verizon Wireless in the 2023 Super Bowl.

Furthermore, David is included in THR’s list of the top 100 entertainment dealmakers and litigators who keep the Hollywood industry running. David is recognized for having a docket that “reads like a streaming queue, with matters involving Stranger Things, Shahs of Sunset and Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” and representing world-renowned entertainment production companies, including Paramount, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Lionsgate and Morgan Creek Productions.
