Loeb & Loeb Elects Three Attorneys to Partnership

NEW YORK (August 10, 2017) – Loeb & Loeb LLP is pleased to announce the election of three attorneys to the firm’s partnership. Ryan M. Austin in the firm’s Los Angeles office, and Jessica B. Lee and Anne Kennedy McGuire in the firm’s New York office have been promoted to partner.

Ryan M. Austin – Tax, Los Angeles
Ryan Austin’s practice encompasses a wide range of U.S. federal income and state and local tax issues. He represents clients in federal and state tax controversy matters, particularly in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board.  Austin regularly advises clients in connection with business and investment transactions, including formations, acquisitions and dispositions.  He also has significant experience with California property tax matters. He earned his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School.

Jessica B. Lee – Advanced Media and Technology, New York
Jessica Lee’s practice focuses on a variety of matters relating to emerging media and advertising technology, with a particular focus on privacy and intellectual property issues that arise when launching, marketing and monetizing digital products and content. She advises on advanced advertising strategies and helps clients monetize consumer insights derived from the use of emerging media platforms, including OTT apps, social media channels, wearables, chatbots and other technology. Lee has extensive knowledge of social media law and counsels clients on everything from engaging influencers to using user generated content. She earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.

Anne Kennedy McGuire – Entertainment, New York
Anne Kennedy McGuire focuses her practice on motion picture, television and digital media as well as traditional and branded entertainment. She represents clients in evaluating, negotiating and drafting talent, development, production and licensing agreements, primarily for non-scripted programming and documentary films, as well as popular podcasts. She negotiates domestic and international distribution agreements for television and documentary film projects, music programs and specials, and assists entertainment companies and advertisers in negotiating product and brand integration agreements. McGuire received her J.D. from New York University School of Law.
