NEW YORK – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Rima R. Moawad has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Corporate Department, bringing with her nearly 20 years of experience handling complex business transactions of all types.

Moawad’s practice focuses on the representation of public companies, private equity firms and management groups in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, going private and other corporate transactions. She has been involved in such high-profile deals as Neuberger Berman’s $1.5 billion management buyout from Lehman Brothers, Grifols S.A.’s $4 billion leveraged buyout of Talecris Biotherapeutics, and numerous transactions on behalf of Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity.

In addition to her practice, Moawad is active in a number of not-for-profit organizations, including the Lebanese International Finance Executives (LIFE), of which she is a member of the U.S. Committee; Social and Economic Action for Lebanon (SEAL), where she serves as a board member; as well as the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, one of India's largest non-governmental organizations.
Most recently, Moawad was a partner at Haynes and Boone in New York. She holds an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School and a Maîtrise and Licence from the University of Paris II, Assas.
